The main ideas, points and subjects exposed and discussed on the meeting in case, were the following:

  • Previewing deadlines, it is recommended to have a plan ready latest till the first fortnight of May. MS
  • It is necessary to communicate and work more per email due to difficulties in finding a general available time for meetings. VH
  • Proposes the use of the African tree Maringa, as a mean of foodstuff provider, water cleaner, among others. KM
  • Proposes the breading of the Algae Spirulina for the project, and mentions many characteristics of it and its multiple uses. KM
  • Mentions the case of urban gardens in Nairobi, proposing it for the project. SN
  • Conveys to unify each single idea with each other to form a general one. MS
  • All ideas are important and welcome. MS
  • It is recalled that the colleague Yu Pan wants to work with ancient anti-seismic Chinese technique. KM
  • We all have to agree on the objectives and till know we are lacking specific work points. MS
  • Explains how to harvest the potential energy of water for production of electrical energy. VH
  • Objectives and Tasks have to specified, so the information compiled could be on a general agreed basis. MS
  • A mind map is developed between all participants.
  • Each one should write down their own ideas/proposals and later specify how others ideas can be used together with our owns. VH
  • Each one must search for 1 or 2 TK that can be used with their own proposed ideas. KM
  • A new preliminary main objective arise: "Find a set of traditional knowledges systems applicable to a concept building for end-user in a slum/urban subtropical setting". KM
  • Proposes the elaboration of a poster showing all researched technologies and showing the multiplicative-effect of knowledge.
  • It is agreed that the purpose of the implementation of the project is not that of profitability. MS
  • Proposes the usefulness of the project in helping to reach UN’s Millennium Development Goals. RO
  • On next meeting (15.04) points of research will be distributed between the project’s members.
  • On next meeting over (21.04) the group have to give a presentation
    showing the objectives agreed and main purpose of the project.
  • As an end, tasks and responsibilities to fulfil for next meeting are set:

      • Definition of Traditional Knowledge: KM.
      • Brainstorm a possible end-user who benefits from the project: RO
      • Brainstorm sub objectives for the project: SN.
      • Open brainstorming for experiments as means of 2nd objectives of the projects. All members.
      • Digitalizing of mind map: YP.
